J.E. Rosenkrantz is a structural engineering firm which, until late 2002, was doing all of its drafting work by hand. When several clients mentioned that nearly all competing engineering firms were using computers, J.E. Rosenkrantz turned to NE Key to help choose a complete CAD system and plotter and to train the office staff in how to use the new system.

First we reviewed the firm's existing equipment and infrastructure, the firm's hardware and software needs, knowledge levels and needs of the staff, the type of clients the firm was servicing, and the future direction of the company. The priorities were to install an up-to-date computer network that was specified for the company's needs, to supply training to staff members, and to have a web presence with a corporate site and contacting capabilities.

We set up the entire network with high speed Internet capabilities, plotters, a SNAP server (a back-up solution), and a customized web site that resides on the company's server, giving the business autonomy and a polished, well-rounded image.

After all the equipment was installed, and the system was set-up to the specifications outlined in our first consulting session, NE Key provided two-hour CAD training sessions to all staff members on a one-on-one basis to ensure that each employee was comfortable with the equipment.
